Shoppers in New Farmer’s Plaza were shocked when Kapamilya singer Darren Espanto and members of the 90s dance group UMD did this.

Kapamilya singer Darren Espanto together with the 1990s popular all-male dance group UMD or the Universal Motion Dancers, recently shocked shoppers in New Farmer’s Plaza, Araneta Center.

It is due to a song Dying Inside which was popularized by Timmy Thomas. The said dance group also made it as one of their hit covers during their era. Darren also did his own cover for this.

The song was also used as a soundtrack in the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2017 entry of Jennylyn Mercado and Derek Ramsay All Of You.

Due to that, the 90s hit song has gained new popularity in the millennial era and several netizens uploaded on social media their own dance covers of the song.

There were also several celebrities who gamely indulge in showing their own version of Dying Inside.

Recently, based on the article published in kami.com.ph, Darren Espanto and the UMD Dancers relived the 90s feel by doing a flash mob in the aforementioned shopping area.

Kapamilya magazine show Rated K uploaded on its official Facebook Page the said video of the flash mob.

Everyone in the New Farmer’s Plaza were in awe when the young singer who disguised by wearing a cap and shades started to sing the song.

Then bystanders started to gather around where Darren Espanto was singing while they were taking video.

Members of the UMD Marco McKinley, James Salas and Jim Salas also joined and did their signature choreography for the song, based on the article.

As the song went on, other dancers joined the flash mob.

The uploaded video on Korina Sanchez’s show has already reached more than 96 thousand views, it has received 4.5 thousand reactions and it has been shared 1.5 thousand times.
