Princess Punzalan Return Scares Co-Stars?
After nailing her iconic role in Mula Sa Puso role, it seemed that Princess Punzalan still experiences the perks of playing it well, even intimidating the actors of her current project.
Punzalan once played as Selina who is a villain in the hit series and now returns to the primetime as part of “The Story of Us” which stars Kim Chiu and Xian Lim.
The come-back of the actress made is in the good light for the primetime, however, she revealed that the iconic role she once portrayed has some negative effects on her life particularly even in her current project.
She revealed how co-stars Kim Chiu and Xian Lim revealed how intimidated and scared they are of her, remembering her solid portrayal in Mula Sa Puso.
Punzalan explained to them that she is much approachable and much different from Selina who would hurt people.
In the interview, Punzalan also revealed the impact of her portrayal to her life as someone who is away from the camera.
Punzalan in 1998, won her TV’s Best Drama Actress for her role as Selina. She later moved to America working as a nurse while considering vacation in the Philippines from time to time.
After more than a decade, Punzalan is back as Clodette, the mother of CJ (Bryan Santos) who is a successful businesswoman. Her role, to which is described as “sort of a contravida,” is known for her scheming ways and astute sense of running her beauty empire.
The veteran actress revealed that she agreed to go back to acting because she likeds her character who is not black like Selina but protective as a mother.
Following her iconic role, she hopes that the audience will be satisfied with her performance revealing how excited she is in working and performing again in camer.
“Acting is my first loved,” she said.
The Story of Us is aired in ABS-CBN primetime after Dolce Amore.
