Actress Aiko Melendez finally confirmed her relationship with Persian businessman Shahin Alimirzapour.
In an exclusive interview with the Philippine Entertainment Portal, Aiko Melendez admitted that she and the businessman who hails from Iran are now dating.
“He is the one who makes me smile and who made an effort to pursue me,” she said.
“We are in Davao right now to visit my friend. Came here with Pepsi Herrera and Edwin Tan but he surprised me and followed me here,” she added.
Meanwhile, in a sideline interview of the website with the Persian businessman, he stated that what attracted him most is the behavior of the award-winning star.
He also stressed that their 12 years age gap is not a big deal to him.

Aiko Melendez married to actor Jomari Yllana from 2000 to 2003 whom they had a child named Andrei. However, they got separated.
In 2006, she married chef Martin Jickain but their marriage was put into annulment in 2010.
Aiko Melendez also ventured into the world of politics where she was elected as Councillor of the 2nd District of Quezon City.
The award-winning artist came to prominence after starring in several television shows including ABS-CBN top-rating primetime series, “The Story of Us” where she portrays the role of Carmy Manalo. The series also stars with Kim Chiu and Zian Lim.
She also starred in a romantic movie, “Everyday I Love You” starring phenomenal love team Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil along with Gerald Anderson.
