Is Arjo Atayde family supporting him on dating Maine Mendoza?
ARJO ATAYDE FAMILY – Arjo Atayde revealed something about his family’s reaction on bashing received because of his dating status with Maine Mendoza.
As much as anyone is probably aware of Maine Mendoza is previously paired with Kapuso actor Alden Richards. She has become an internet sensation because of Dubsmash videos which eventually paved way for her to become the phenomenal star that she is now.
However, not all love teams on screen end up together just like Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla (KathNiel), Nadine Lustre and James Reid (JaDine), and Loisa Andalio and Ronnie Alonte (LoiNie).
Unlike all the love teams stated above who became real couples, AlDub was not. Maine is dating and it is not Alden. Just recently, Arjo Atayde revealed that he and Yaya Dub are exclusively dating.
With this, given that AlDub have already earned a strong and loyal fan base, some of them did not quite like it – their idol dating someone. In a report from PUSH, Arjo admitted that his family are affected and even received bashings as well.
He said, “Naapektuhan sila somehow (bashing) kasi they’ve never been bashed eh. Wala lang but they’re just a little bit irritated, and what triggers me is the fact that people around me are kind of affected.”
Arjo added, “My dad, my sister, and the rest of all they don’t care because they know that these guys (bashers) they don’t know what are they talking about… Yes kasi some comments went too much, actually most of comments, but I really don’t care I’m much more concerned with people around me.”
However, despite these happenings, Arjo further shared that his family knows better and kept intact in supporting him over budding romance with the Kapuso actress. He is supported by his family over his dating status with Maine.
