Is Iza Calzado Preparing for a Hollywood Project?
While she is not yet busy working on a project, Actress Iza Calzado flew to Los Angeles to take acting classes.
Asked if she is preparing for a Hollywood project, the actress said it is better to be prepared.
“I took Improved Classes, Audition Technique Class, Speech Class…I’m just preparing for my future. Why do you have to wait for a role to come to you, why don’t you prepare for it?” she shared.
She revealed that she studied an audition technique which is relevant to the industry in the Philippines since actors are most likely to audition to get a role.
While being named as one of the promising actors, she humbled herself saying that there is so much room for improvement. Though she is not satisfied of where she is as an actress, she is happy where is in in her growth.
Calzado was also asked if she is preparing for a project in Hollywood and if an agent in America already preparing her, the actress refused to talked about it while giving a smile.
However she revealed that she booked a film when she was in America for an independent Filipino film to be directed by a member of Directors Guild of America (DGA).
The actress did not reveal much of the project adding that something came up while she was on a trip.
“Sometimes it’s all about being at the right place at the right time.” she said.
With her dreams of pursuing the bigger stage, Calzado said she is pursuing her career first before settling down with her long-time boyfriend.
Calzado, meanwhile, is set to star in a new Teleserye with Bea Alonzo and Ian Veneracion.
