Remember ‘Pasulyap-sulyap’ Singer Tootsie Guevarra? Here Is Her Life Now

After leaving the local music scene during the early 2000s, Tootsie Guevarra found a new fulfilling life away from showbiz’s glitz and glamour.

Former OPM singer Tootsie Guevarra or Emma Therese Pinga in real life had been out of the local music scene for more than a decade now.

She was behind the popular songs ‘Pasulyap-sulyap’ and ‘Kaba’ which became a national anthem of the young individuals during the height of her career. Tootsie was also considered as one of the OPM Divas during the 90s.

Aside from focusing in her career in the showbiz industry, she also gave same attention to her studies and graduated from college with Hotel and Restaurant Management degree.

In the year 2003, Tootsie took a break from show business and lived in the US.

Her friend and fellow singer, Geneva Cruz introduced her to the first man who captured her heart.

She got married to Filipino-American Jansen Cunanan who was from California in 2005 and they were blessed with a son.

Unfortunately, their relationship did not last and they got separated.

The former OPM singer found a new love in the person of Mike Monaco, an Italian-American. The couple got married in 2012 and they also had a son.

Many people may not know that Tootsie Guevarra started in showbiz when she was still four years old, so when the time she left the industry, it was not hard for her.

She was actually enjoying her life in the US as a private citizen because she did not have a normal childhood as what other children had before.

There were times that she also performs with other Filipino artists when they have a show abroad.

She also ventured in another career field far from the glitz and glamour of show business. It was said that Tootsie works as an executive in healthcare industry.
