Recently, a sad news about the mom of Gary V. crossed the surface. Theater singer-actress Grimilda Santiago y Olmo passed away in Orlando, Florida at the age of 84 years old.
The late mom of the Kapamilya singer-dancer has made a name in the Philippine entertainment industry in the field of theater plays in 1970s. But, later on, she decided to live abroad.
Meanwhile, once in a while, Grimilda goes home to visit her family in the Philippines.
Through a post on his Instagram account, Gary Valenciano confirmed the death of his mother, Grimilda Santiago y Olmo. He also revealed the cause of death of his late mom.
According to Mr. Pure Energy, the last week was really tough for his 84-year-old mom as she battled against congestive heart failure, H1N1 flu, and pneumonia.
The singer-dancer noted that those three medical conditions affected his mother at the same time. He flew to Orlando, Florida to be with his mom.
Despite the grief over the loss of his mom, Gary Valenciano visibly remains optimistic. He even stressed that they will be on a new season in their lives without their mom around them but within them.
The Kapamilya singer-dancer expressed his gratitude to their family and friends and everyone who has extended their words of encouragement and love to their mom and their family.
