Green: Arrested for Misdemeanour Assault

Green was arrested for an alleged misdemeanor assault.

Green was arrested in Michigan for an alleged misdemeanor assault. He was arrested in the early morning hours on Sunday and was released on a $200 bond.

The NBA Star was released but he was scheduled to be back in court on July 20.

The Golden State Warriors star, Draymond Green, is one of the basketball stars who was expected to represent the United States to the Rio Olympics.

According to some reports, Green is already scheduled to attend the men’s Olympic basketball camp in Las Vegas on July 18-21 and to make up the players of the United states and be representative to the upcoming Rio Olympics.

The USA Basketball managing director Jerry Colangelo awaits for the details of the incident and has no comment for the said issue.

Many misdemeanors are punished with monetary fines and generally punished less severely than felonies. It’s a lesser criminal act in some common and legal systems.

But according to a report, if Draymond Green is convicted he will be punished to stay 93 days in jail and should face a maximum $500 fine. The report said that it was an altercation between two guys but luckily there were no injuries.

The news about Draymond already became viral all over on the social media. His basketball fans react towards the issue and ask if he can still play in the Rio Summer Games. The Warriors said they are trying to learn more about the incident.
