Senator Leila de Lima claimed that Jaybee Sebastian is an asset but upon his attendance to the house inquiry, he strongly denied it.
Convicted Kidnapper and hijacking and now dubbed as the “lord of drugs lords” in the New Bilibid Prison (NBP), Jaybee Sebastian, strongly denied being an asset of the Philippine government.
Jaybee Sebatian’s denial came in the face of Senator Leila de Lima’s claim that he is an asset of the government, working as an eye inside the National Penitentiary.
“No. ‘Yun ang gusto kong linawin dito”, said Sebastian. (No. That is what I am here to clarify for.)
Jaybee attended in the continuation of the investigation of the House of Representatives Committee on Justice on the illegal drug trade inside the NBP, including the involvement of Senator De Lima when she was still the secretary of the Department of Justice (DOJ).
The NBP is under the watch of the DOJ.
