Pres. Rodrigo Duterte affirmed to sign the Paris Climate Deal.
DUTERTE – After Pres. Rodrigo ‘Digong’ Duterte expressed last time his will to follow his advisers on the Paris Climate Agreement, he recently announced that he will sign the pact.
Pres. Duterte has been very vocal before about his dislike on the Paris Climate Deal as it might affect the progress of the Philippines’ economy. He has even called it ‘stupid’ and ‘absurd’ based on a report.
Recently, the 71-year-old President has shown a change of heart on the international agreement. He expressed that he will follow the suggestions of his advisers with regards to the pact.
In a recent news report, Pres. Duterte has announced that he will be signing the Paris Climate Agreement after a unanimous vote on it.
