QUEZON – An estimated P50,000 worth of Marijuana was found by a resident of Barangay Bahay Toro, Quezon City in a garbage dump area.

The battle against illegal drugs headed by the Duterte Administration and the Philippine National Police is very evident in the country nowadays. Pres. Rodrigo Duterte himself warns the drug users.

Pres. Duterte has always been vocal in his goal to clean the country from illegal drugs. Previously, he has warned those who do not want to cooperate with the goal to secure themselves.

A lot of drug users and pushers have already surrendered to the police authorities since the start of the Duterte Administration. Several drug laboratories as well were discovered by the cops in some parts of the country.

Undeniably, many Chinese were allegedly behind the operation of illegal drug trade in the country. Nevertheless, China backs the country in the battle against illegal drugs based on a previous news report.

Recently, a report in GMA News Online stated that an estimated P50,000 worth of Marijuana was discovered in Quezon City by Eduardo Abagao.

An estimated five kilos of marijuana wrapped in plastic and kept in a wooden stool was recovered in the garbage dump area according to GMA’s Cesar Apolinario report.

Furthermore, the residents have it dried due to the foul odor of the marijuana. A Fairview resident is the alleged owner of the marijuana.

Police authorities went on the site to investigate on the incident and concluded that the owner might have intentionally thrown the marijuana to spare himself from being arrested by the authorities.

Undeniably, maximum efforts are really exerted nowadays against illegal drugs. The police authorities plan to dispose the damp marijuana right away to prevent it from spreading and being used by others.
