Rosanna Roces shares heartfelt message to the late Armida Siguion-Reyna
Former sexy actress Rosanna Roces said to the late actress, singer, and producer Armida Siguion Reyna, “walang ligaya at selya kung wala ka”.
Armida passed away last Monday at the age of 88 and this brought grief to many showbiz personalities.
Aside from acting, the veteran celebrity was also known for her TV program Aawitan Kita which promotes Original Pilipino Music.

Armida became the chairperson of Movie and Television Review and Classification Board from June 1988 to January 2001 during the administration of former President Joseph Estrada.
She was more than just an actress and a singer, Armida also produced award-winning films such as Hihintayin Kita Sa Langit, Ligaya ang Itawag Mo Sa Akin, and Ang Lalaki sa Buhay ni Selya under Reyna Films.
Because of the two latter films, Rosanna Roces was recognized as a serious actress.

In line with this opportunity, the former sexy star expressed her heartfelt message for Armida.
Here is the message of Rosanna, based on the article published on Bandera:
“Tita Midz…ikaw ang unang nagtiwala sa akin na gumawa ng makabuluhang pelikula…hindi lang isa kundi dalawa.
“Ipinakilala mo ako sa mga manunuod ng Art film at binigyan mo ako ng pagkakataon maipinta ng mga tinitingalang Pintor at National artists.
“Baon ko lahat ng natutunan ko mula sa yo mula noon hanggang ngayon. Walang hanggang pasasalamat tita midz. Walang Ligaya at Selya kung wala si… Armida.”
Actor John Arcilla, Rosana Roces’ leading man in Ligaya also gave his message to the late producer, based on the article:
“We fondly call her tita Midz. She was the Showbiz Luminary who introduced me to one of the biggest films in 1997 Ligaya ang itawag mo sa akin with Rosanna Roces and then she brought me to her Cultural Heritage of Filipino Kundimans via Aawitan kita afterwards.
“I consider myself one of the luckiest when she brought me to the mainstream audience from my theater life. Her Reyna Films is one of the Iconic productions that highlights the shining career of big stars stars Snooky Serna, Maricel Soriano, Richard Gomez and Dawn Zulueta during those times.
“I can not ask for more. Those were one the greatest years of my life. You were one of the distinguished influencers in your time, a Tigress as they say but you tita Mids left a soft spot in my heart and memories.
“So sleep my dear mentor sleep and rest… goodnight my Dearest tita Mids goodnight. May God hold you tight.”
