Foods that moms need to avoid eating and drinking when breastfeeding. For the past nine months moms are so careful about their diet and worrying about what they’re eating and drinking for the development of fetus into a baby.

Breastfeeding is necessary upon the first hour of the infant up to the time that baby can depend on commercialized milk. Ten to fifteen minutes is the duration for each breast when breastfeeding.

The milk from the mother’s breast is healthier than any other milk it can decrease the risk of respiratory tract infections, diarrhea, asthma, celiac diseases, food allergies, diabetes, and leukemia. So the food and drink that mom’s are taking matters.

Here are some foods that mother’s should avoid while breastfeeding.

  1. Parsley

The parsley had a higher risk of reducing the supply of milk. Consuming small quantities of parsley cannot cause an issue but taking a huge amount of it can affect your breastfeeding.

  1. Fish

Eating fish while breastfeeding is not totally prohibited but moms should select the type of fish or sea foods that they are eating because some fish contains mercury that can be included to the supply of milk in their breast.
