Neymar Criticized For Inappropriate Homage To Stephen Hawking

Neymar received criticisms after he posted his photo on a wheelchair wearing bathing suit with the quote from Stephen Hawking as his caption.

Neymar, who is hailed as the most expensive football player recently received blow from netizens as he posted a supposed to be homage to Stephen Hawking.

Hawking, who died at the age of 75 is a British astrophysicist who spend most years of his life confined to a wheelchair due to motor nuerone disease.

The famous footballer used a quote from the world-renowned genius to his photo which was taken while he was on a wheelchair, wearing a bathing suit, due to his injury, based on the article published in Rappler.

Neymar broke his right foot while playing for the football team Paris Saint-Germain.

Supposedly, his caption was intended to pay homage to the physicist who passed away.

However, several netizens viewed it as a bad-taste tribute for someone who is being considered as a science icon.
