PNR Advisory: No Operations On Maundy Thursday, Good Friday

Department of Transportation (DOTr) released an advisory regarding the operations of Philippine National Railways (PNR) this coming Holy Week.

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) announced an advisory on Wednesday regarding the operations of the Philippine National Railways (PNR) on this coming Holy Week.

They will limit their operation during the said holidays which is being observed all over the country.

In the said DOTr advisory, PNR will not have any operation during Maundy Thursday, March 29, and Good Friday, March 30, based on the article published in Inquirer.

On Black Saturday, on the other hand, the railway transit will conduct special operations and that is on March 31.

According to the advisory, the special operations will only include route from Tutuban to Calamba with departure time of 6:37 p.m., from Tutuban to Mamatid with departure time of 7:07 p.m. and from Tutuban to Alabang with departure time of 7:37 p.m.

The normal operation of the railway transit will resume on April 1, based on the article.

Meanwhile, on a separate report of the news website, it was said that the Philippine Nation Police will deploy additional number of policemen to secure the safety of people in different areas in the country during the Holy Week.

Police chief Dir. Gen. Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa said that PNP has a 90-day security plan dubbed as “Ligtas Summer Vacation (Sumvac) 2018”.

The said security plan includes implementation of enhanced managing police operations.

This will be conducted through “mandatory security checks at airports, seaports, and bus terminals by security personnel nationwide to guard against criminals who may take advantage of the holiday rush”, according to the article.
