Jason Francisco finally issued a statement regarding a pressing controversy involving his wife Melai Cantiveros and a certain netizen.
Just recently, the “Magandang Buhay” host made headlines online after a certain netizen bashed her on image-sharing site, Instagram and even wished that something bad would happen to her 2-year-old child.
Melai Cantiveros was heavily criticized by the netizen upon supporting presidential candidate and former DILG secretary Mar Roxas.
The former Pinoy Big Brother earlier said that she mulls to file a case against the basher identified as Shawie Constantino Enriquez, a domestic helper in Taiwan.
But in the latest post of the netizen, she said that her account was hacked and she doesn’t have an intention to say those things to the comedienne-actress.
Jason Francisco told the Philippine Entertainment Portal in an exclusive interview that he was saddened by the statement of Melai’s basher. He noted that it is not yet final if they will sue her.
“Kasi nakapagsalita siya nang masama, pero hindi naman kasi siya nanakit [pisikal], kaya lang nanakit siya ng damdamin,” he said.
“Puwede namang hindi matuloy, e. Kaya lang, ang gusto po kasi, mas makita ng tao kung gaano kahalaga yung anti-bullying, tsaka yung pagsasalita ng mga ganung salita,” he explained.
Jason Francisco admitted that he and Melai don’t want to publicized the controversy. He noted that Melai might not pursue charges against her if she will apologize formally.
