Meet the mother of Piolo Pascual
For the first time, Amelia Nonato Pascual, the mother of Piolo Pascual made a television appearance via morning talk show “Magandang Buhay” which aired on Wednesday, May 25, 2016.
“Actually ang pagiging mama’s boy niya …bunso kasi, very (sweet). ‘Yung kapag nandiyan ka, hahalikan ka, yayakapin ka ganoon, malambing,” she said citing her son is a certified mama’s boy.
Piolo Pascual’s mother admitted that at first, she didn’t want her son to join the entertainment industry noting lack of privacy. But she wasn’t able to stopped her son from joining showbiz after he went ahead and signed a contract without letting his parents know.
“Galit na galit ako,” she recalled. “Sabi ng mga kapatid, pabayaan ko na kasi ‘yun ang hilig. Sabi niya, ‘Mommy, give me five years.’ Pero ang ganda naman ng (career) niya kasi nagsunod-sunod (ang mga project).”
Mrs. Pascual shared that she still feels excited seeing her son on the big screen and television although it has been two decades since he entered the world of showbiz.
“Alam mo walang wala na akong mahihiling pa. Talagang he’s the kind of son that every mom should have talaga. Very grounded, mabait, madasalin, disciplined, mapagmahal sa kapatid, at mapagmahal sa pamilya. At saka he puts himself always last,” he said when asked what his her message to her popular son.
Piolo Pascual, who stars in romantic movie, “Love Me Tomorrow” which is hitting cinemas on Wednesday, May 25, 2016, also respond to the statement of his mother.
“Just stay happy. Si Mommy kasi ayaw na niyang maka-love life, masaya na siyang ganito. Whatever comes, whoever comes, we will be here for you. No matter what happens hanggang kaya mo pa Mommy I will take you around and we’ll do everything for you because we love you,” the actor said.
