British Director Sam Mendes Done With His Responsibility With James Bond

Sam Mendes ends his responsibility with James Bond. Last Friday, May 28, 2016, the British Director of Skyfall and Spectre declared that he is no longer directing the next movie of spy series.

“It was an incredible adventure, I loved every second of it,” Mendes said about the five years of working in the franchise. “But I think it’s time for somebody else,” he said.

Sam Mendes revealed his plans to abandon the series at Hay Festival of literature in Wales. The former theater director whose films, “American Beauty” and “Revolutionary Road”, are Oscar-winners, Mendes said, he was hoping that the next Bond director would come from “unexpected direction,” like what he had.

In his first movie, Skyfall, was a great popular for the viewers, mostly commented back that he made a new intensity for every character. “Spectre” is also a big success movie.

In the report of balita.net, it was Mendes who wants to produce an extraordinary movie. “I’m a storyteller. And at the end of the day, I want to make stories with new characters,” Mendes said.

It is clear base on his statement that he is no longer directing the next movie, however, it is not yet sure if Daniel Craig will return as a 007.

Tom Hiddlestone and Idris Elba are among to his rumored replacement. Both are popular with the viewers, but Mendes said, “It’s not a democracy… Barbara Broccoli decides who is going to be the next Bond, end of story.”
