Internationally acclaimed singer and actress Jennifer Lopez or JLo revealed that she also had a moment of #MeToo once in her career life in Hollywood.

Several female stars previously spoke up to the public regarding the misconduct done to them by some powerful men in the showbiz industry in the US.

It initiated the campaign on social media #MeToo which opened a way to those women who experienced assault and harassment to tell their stories.

Jennifer Lopez also had that moment, though it was not as intense as the sexual assault that other female Hollywood personalities had.

During an interview with the Harper’s Bazaar Magazine, JLo told her story when a director told her to take off her upper garment, based on the article published in ABS-CBN Entertainment.

“But have I been told by a director to take off my shirt and show my boobs? Yes, I have. But did I do it? No, I did not,” Lopez related her #MeToo story.

The 48-year old star also revealed that during that incident, different thoughts came in her mind but at the end she decided to do what was right.

“When I did speak up, I was terrified. I remember my heart beating out of my chest, thinking, ‘What did I do? This man is hiring me!’ It was one of my first movies. But in my mind I knew the behavior wasn’t right,” the singer/actress said.

As a woman who grew up in New York City’s tough Bronx borough in the 1970s, Jennifer Lopez found her courage to fight the impending bad thing to happen to her.

“I think ultimately the Bronx in me was like, ‘Nah, we’re not having it,” she strongly said.

On the other hand, she refused to name the director and the movie, based on the article.
