Some people pointed out that the award-giving body should consider awarding the said award to Vic Sotto for his seniority as a comedian in the industry.

The Kapamilya star lambasted the said article of the PEP writer through his series of Twitter posts.
On the other hand, fans and supporters of the Unkabogable star did not fail to make him feel that he really deserves to be the recipient of the Dolphy Award.
It was mentioned in the article published in Bandera that the comedian/host has all it takes to be the awardee.
According to some fans of Vice, the comedian has already proved so many things in the entertainment industry in the Philippines.
Being in the industry longer than the other does not necessarily mean that one can already have the lifetime achievement award, according to some fans of Vice Ganda.
