JC de Vera denied the claim about the “proposal photo” with his partner, Rikkah Alyssa Cruz, that was uploaded on his social media account.
“Hindi pa. Nagpa-picture lang kami for our page kasi… Sinabi ng lahat (na proposal) yon, pero hindi,” he said. “Kasi meron akong barkada talaga na photographer and we needed that photo para ilagay sa page namin so yon yung pinost ko. Kaya nga ang caption ko lang is ‘for the shot’ kasi yon yung pangalan ng company nung photographer – Stellar – that’s their tagline, eh, ‘for the shot’ kaya yon yung nilagay kong caption.“

JC de Vera was happy that netizens made a theory about the said photo and concluded that it was a proposal photo because of the ring in his girlfriend’s finger.
“Masaya ako, masaya ako kasi yon yung sa tingin nila and we’re also looking forward to it and alam din naman namin na pupunta kami doon. Pero wala pang specific, probably… basta pinag-uusapan pa lang,” he said. “Ayokong pangunahan yung sarili ko. I mean, ayaw naming pangunahan ang lahat, gusto namin very well prepared kami. Right now we’re preparing, marami kaming malalaking ventures na darating this 2020.“
The ventures that JC mentioned was referring to their restaurant and construction business that they have prepared for the year 2020. “Outside show business marami kaming pini-prepare, so alam mo yon, lahat yon pinag-uusapan namin kasi yung asawa ko businesswoman siya at ako rin so marami kaming pinaplano pa,” he added.
JC was one of the stars in the upcoming film “Love is Love” that was directed by GB Sampedro. The film will be available in cinemas on December 4.
