Boy Abunda’s Mother Passes Away

Boy Abunda’s mother, Licerna Romerica Abunda or also known as Nanay Lesing, died last Sunday morning, December 1. She was 90 years old.

The Philippine Women’s University (PWU) posted on its social media accounts as a way of expressing their sympathies to Boy Abunda. “The PWU Community offers heartfelt condolences to Dr. Eugenio ‘Boy’ Abunda, PWU Trustee, on the passing away of his beloved Nanay, Licerna Romerica Abunda,” the Philippine Women’s University (PWU) said in a Twitter post.

Boy Abunda’s sister, Maria Fe Abunda, a congresswoman of Eastern Samar, also posted on her social media account about their late mother. She was using the Waray language in her post.

Maria Fe Abunda also said in her post that the public viewing started Monday, December 2, until Wednesday, December 4, at the Arlington Memorial Chapels in Quezon City.
