President Duterte says no more additional powers.
President Rodrigo Duterte has recently announced to its people that he don’t need more powers to rule the country. In fact, he would only use the powers that the president has, together with the Philippine laws.
Despite the controversies that were being thrown to him, the president remained strong and still to continue his anti-illegal drugs campaign to crackdown the illegal drugs in the country.
In a recent report, President Duterte said that there is no need for additional powers for him to change the country. He rejected the idea of having additional power after he declared the of lawlessness in Mindanao to end the terrorism in the country.
This is also to suppress violence in Mindanao that was caused by the Abu Sayyaf.
The declaration of the state of lawlessness enables Duterte to call out after the bombing incident in Roxas market, Davao City, which is the President’s hometown.
