“Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children” Now A Box Office Hit

Ticket booths are flooded by movie-goers only to watch a single film, “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children”.

North American cinemas are alive with movie-goers lining-up to watch “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children” which has now become a box office hit in its opening weekend.

According to film industry data which was released on Monday, “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children” has earned $28.9 million, only for over the weekend.

“Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children” is the latest of Tim Burton’s fantasy tales, from 20th Century Fox and Chernin Entertainment. It tells the story of a head mistress, played by Eva Green, at an orphanage in Wales, full of odd and peculiar children with magical powers.

According to industry tracker, Exhibitor Relations, the “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children” bested the “Deepwater Horizon”, an oil-rig thriller of Mark Wahlberg from Lionsgate, which opened to a disappointing $20.2 million.

The North American box office hit was adapted from Ransom Riggs’ best-selling novel of the same title.
