COMELEC clarifies the issue on the investigation of the SOCE of Pres. Duterte.
COMELEC CLARIFIES – The Commission on Election made clarifications on the matter of investigating the President’s Statement of Contributions and Expenditures (SOCE).
In a recent news report, the Commission on Election has finally broken its silence with regards to the issue of investigating the SOCE of Pres. Rodrigo ‘Rody’ Duterte.
Based on the report, COMELEC made it clear that an official investigation on the 71-year-old President‘s SOCE by the Commission could only be possible after a filed formal complaint. Further, the formal complaint should be supported by an affidavit.
The report also made mention that the spokesperson of the commission, James Jimenez, has released a statement.
