GSIS EMERGENCY LOAN – Here is a list of the areas that are eligible for the Government Service Insurance System’s Emergency Loan this May-June 2019.

The Government Service Insurance System or more commonly known as GSIS has a lot of offers to its members. It includes the assistance to those who are affected by the calamities.

In the pursuit of the government insurance institution to aid those people who live in areas hit by the natural calamities, it offer emergency loan to the residents.

Usually, every month, the insurance institution posts the list of areas that are eligible for the GSIS Emergency Loan. It also cites the reason over the eligibility of the residents in certain areas.

For the month of May to the month of June, based on the official website of the Government Service Insurance System, here is a list of the areas eligible for the GSIS Emergency Loan:

May 15 To June 13, 2019

  • Province of Maguindanao (Reason: Drought / El Niño)

May 17 To June 15, 2019

  • Province of Cebu (Reason: Drought / El Niño)

According to the GSIS, the following is the list of the qualification standards set in applying for the loan:

The member-applicant must be…

  • a bona fide resident or employee of the government office within the declared calamity area;
  • be in active service and not on leave of absence without pay;
  • has no arrearages in the payment of mandatory social insurance contributions; and
  • has no loan that has been declared in default.
