Donald Trump accepts invitation to meet with Kim Jong-Un in May regarding denuclearization

Donald Trump, the president of United States of America is set to have a meeting with Kim Jong-Un, the leader of North Korea.

The said meeting will take place on May as confirmed by Trump’s spokesperson Sarah Sanders but the place and time is not yet determined.

According to the article published in Rappler, the two leaders of their respective countries will secure a deal to remove nuclear weapons from the Korean peninsula.

South Korean National Security Advisor Chung Eui-yong, who came to Washington after talks in Pyongyang, said that Kim is committed to denuclearization.

In addition, the North Korean leader reportedly pledged to refrain from any further nuclear or missile tests he believes that the joint military exercise between his country and the US must continue.

Aside from that, Kim also expressed his enthusiasm in meeting US President Donald Trump as soon as possible.

The leader of USA reacted positively to the statement from the North Korean leader.

Based on the statement of Chung Eui-yong, Trump appreciated the briefing and agreed to meet Kim in May this year.

The US President “will accept the invitation to meet with Kim Jong-Un at a place and time to be determined,” according to Sanders.

She added that the US is looking forward to the denuclearization of North Korea and in the meantime, all sanctions and maximum pressure must remain.

The government of South Korea earlier announced that the North Korea had promised that there is no reason to hold to its nuclear weapons.

This will happen if “military threats towards the North are cleared and the security of its regime is guaranteed,” based on the article.

Donald Trump positively accepts the apparent offer from Kim Jong-Un and implied that this happened as a breakthrough of his so called maximum pressure campaign to force the North Korean leader to force him to accept talks regarding this matter.
