A PGT semi-finalist was dragged by a taxi as she was trying to run after a snatcher who took her cellphone.
A taxi dragged a member of a ‘Pilipinas Got Talent’ or PGT semi-finalist group as she was trying to run after a snatcher to recover her cellular phone.
Toni San Lorenzo, a member of the group Mad Queens was snatched on Tuesday in Mandaluyong City.
Based on the report in ABS-CBN News, San Lorenzo was waiting for a public utility vehicle in Shaw Boulevard when a man suddenly took her cellphone and immediately run away.
She shouted for help as she runs after the snatcher until the he hailed and rode in a taxi.
The PGT semi-finalist was able to reach the taxi and she tried to open the door but the taxi driver stepped on the gas and the vehicle accelerated.
Due to that she was dragged and it caused her some scratches.
People nearby where the incident heard the shout of San Lorenzo and they tried to stop the taxi.
The driver of the taxi was able to run away but the snatcher who took the cellphone of the PGT semi-finalist was captured and people beat him up.
The said snatcher admitted that the taxi driver was his accomplice. He also said that they only did the crime because they need money to have their driver’s license back.
He is now detained in Mandaluyong Police Station and robbery-snatching case will be filed against him, based on the report.
