Ron Poe hints support for Jejomar Binay over Grace Poe.
Senator Grace Poe’s half-brother Ron Poe hinted his support for vice president Jejomar Binay for presidential race. This was after he posted a photo of his late father action star-turned-politician Fernando Poe Jr. with the former Makati City Mayor on Facebook.
In the post, Ron Poe said that when his father ran for the 2004 presidential elections, he chose Binay to speak in his behalf during campaigns when he is not present. He also added that his father would not let anyone speak for him if one is not worthy or trusted.
“Binay answered and spoke for my father in times that he wasn’t available. My father would never ever… ever let anyone speak in his behalf if he truly wasn’t worthy or trusted. But he let Binay… Why? Because my father knows that he is a good man,” he wrote.
Although Ron Poe did not directly said that he is supporting Binay, a lot of netizens suspected that he is choosing him over the lady senator.
In the comments section, the DJ and tattoo artist also admitted that he only met Grace Poe during his father’s funeral. He stressed that he is living in Makati for 16 years and he feels closer to his city.
“Yes po. Only met Grace during my papas funeral. And that was all. I’ve been living in Makati for 16 years. I feel closer to my city it’s my home,” he said.
His post has already become viral on Facebook. It has already received more than 3,000 reactions and has over 1,000 shares.
