Dentist involved in Rodrigo Duterte’s alleged hidden wealth issues statement.
The dentist named Dr. Gian Paolo D. Duterte who was tagged by Senator Antonio Trillanes IV as one of the dummy property owners of Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte has spoken up about the issue.
Journalist Manny Piñol posted the statement of Dr. Gian Paolo D. Duterte on his Facebook page to clarify his involvement on the alleged hidden wealth.

Senator Trillanes claimed that the presidential frontrunner has 41 properties across the country. According to the Senator, some of the properties were not disclosed under his name.
In the statement, the pediatric dentist feels unfortunate that his name was publicly mentioned in GMA 7’s “24 Oras” report where the senator linked him as one of Duterte’s dummy property owners.
Dr. Gian added that he has secured a loan from the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) to buy a real estate property in Cagayan De Oro which was mentioned in the report.
“Through my profession, I was able to secure a loan from the Bank of Philippine Islands (BPI) to purchase the real estate property in Cagayan de Oro mentioned in the reports of GMA7 and Senator Antonio Trillanes IV,” he wrote.
Furthermore, Dr. Gian said that he has been practicing Dental Medicine and he has never been a politician. He also said that while he has the same family name with Duterte, he doesn’t know if he is related to them.
“Our roots come from Cebu and I’ve yet to establish the degree or any connection whatsoever, on how the good Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte and I are directly related,” he continued.
