President Duterte Reveals Details On Relationship w/ Honeylet Avanceña

PRESIDENT DUTERTE – Philippine President Rodrigo Roa Duterte spoke on his relationship with partner Honeylet Avanceña with whom he has a daughter.

Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte has always been vocal on a lot of things but he only shared a few details regarding his family life. The 74-year-old President has four(4) children.

With his former wife Elizabeth Zimmerman, the President has three children – Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, Vice Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte, and Davao City Representative-elect Paolo Duterte.

President Duterte’s youngest daughter, Veronica or more commonly known as Kitty, is his daughter with his current partner Honeylet Avanceña. Recently, he spoke about his relationship with Honeylet.

Based on a recent report on ABS-CBN News, speaking in front of the Filipino people in Japan, President Duterte expressed that it is the destiny of Honeylet Avanceña to become the First Lady.

According to the President, Honeylet flew to United States before to work. However, when he found out that she’s pregnant with their daughter, he asked her to come back to the Philippines.

“Iniwan din nya ako… Ang babaeng ito, mahal ko talaga,” he said.

Based on the report, back when President Duterte was still a mayor of Davao City, Honeylet Avanceña was one of those candidates in the search for 1988 Mutya ng Dabaw. She ended up as a runner up in the beauty pageant.

“No guarantees kung ano titulo mo, but it’s really a destiny na maging First Lady ka pero kung mayroon gusto sumunod, OK lang naman,” the President expressed.

Reportedly, Pres. Duterte is now in Japan for the 25th International Conference on the Future of Asia. He is also set for a bilateral meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
