Inka Magnaye Reveals The Voice Behind The Iconic MTRCB Announcement
MTRCB ANNOUNCEMENT – In the Philippines, each and every show begins with an announcement from the MTRCB, but who exactly is the voice behind it?
One of the most curious things we never thought about knowing was the voices behind these iconic spiels. If somebody grew up in the Philippines or has watched any Filipino show, chances are they already heard this:
“Ang programang ito ay rated SPG, striktong patnubay at gabay ng magulang ang kailangan, maaring may maseselang tema, lengwahe, karahasan, sekswal, horror, o droga na hindi angkop sa mga bata”.
The MTRCB or the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board regulate the content being shown in the Philippines. It’s also the body responsible for the iconic rating of “SPG” or “Striktong Patnubay at Gabay”.
This would be the equivalent of an “R” rated film or television show in most Western Countries. So, who is the voice behind the iconic spiel?
It turns out that she’s non-other than the aunt of voiceover actress, Inka Magnaye. On her Twitter, she posted a video and said:
“When I say I come from a family of voice-overs, I’m not exaggerating”.
