A Filipina won the crown as Miss Belgium 2018 and is set to compete for Miss Universe this year
Miss Belgium 2018 is Filipina beauty queen Angeline Flor Pua who is a 22-year old third yer student pilot in Flying Academy.
Her mother is a Filipina while her father has a Chinese descent.
She competed last year for the Miss Antwerp competition and was able to bring home the crown. This gave her the opportunity to join the national beauty pageant.
Among the 30 lovely ladies vying to get the crown as the Miss Belgium 2018, Pua reigned supreme among them, based on the article in The Philippine Star.
During the coronation night, which was held in a combination of Flemish and French language, the Filipina beauty queen was shining brighter of them all.
Pua’s list of hobbies includes baking and travelling. It is really her dream to become a pilot someday.
Miss Belgium 2018 Angeline Flor Pua, previously won the crown of Miss Filipina Europe as the representative of the Filipino community in the said country.
For winning the nationals this year, Pua is set to represent Belgium both in Miss Universe 2018 and Miss World 2018 pageants.
According to the Filipina beauty queen, she did not expect that the result of the beauty pageant will be favorable to her.
“I never expected this and still cannot believe it is true… I am so incredibly happy,” Pua revealed.
Though she is a Filipina and she acknowledges the Filipino heritage, the student pilot said that she feels Belgian because she was born there.
“It’s certainly something new for a Miss Belgium, but I really feel Belgian. I was born here.” the Pinay beauty queen stated.
Zoé Brunet, a 17-year old beauty queen from Jemeppe-sur-Sambre ended the competition as the First Runner-up while Dhenia Covens from Vremde who is a 24-year old stunner bagged the Second Runner-up award, based on the report
