According to the post of the said netizen, Lola Asuncion who was born on December 3, 1912, was not able to get the 100K incentive due to lack of needed documents to get it.

There was a person mentioned on the FB post of Moore, Rowena Ladiola, who started to process the documents of the centenarian back in 2017.

However, it was still not enough because there are still a lot of needed documents which are not yet on Lola Asuncions’s possession.

It was also said that a social worker from Cadiz City DSWD relayed to the old woman that she is qualified to get 25,000 pesos as incentive for citizen aging 90 years old and it is going to be handed to her this coming February.

The netizen, through his post, is asking help from social media users to help the poor centenarian to get her needed documents from Bantayan City.

Republic Act 10868 or the Centenarians Act of 2016 stated that all Filipinos in the Philippines or abroad who reached 100 years old and above will be granted a Centenarian gift of P100,000 cash and a Letter of Feliciation signed by the President.

As a tribute to all the seasoned citizens in the country aging 100 years old, the first Sunday of October was declared as the National Respect for Centenarians Day, based on the report.

The Centenarians Act of 2016 is expected to be implemented by government agencies such as Department of Interior and Local Government, Department of Health, and the Commission on Filipinos Overseas.
