Filipino Family in Bukidnon keeps a World War II artifact—an elliptical stone measuring one-foot wide and two-feet high, with Japanese letters etched into it.

The stone was found in a family’s garage in the town of Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon. At first glance, the stone seems like an ordinary stone, but there are Japanese letters etched to it that indicated a grave site of Japanese soldiers who are killed in the World War II.

According to a recent news report of ABS-CBN news, the grave marker was located in the  in the property of Serio Magallones. The 68-year-old man sad that they had to transfer the stone from its original location because they built a house on where the stone was placed.

Furthermore, Magallones to the media that the writings on the stone were translated say,

“On this spot died Miyazaki Yoshitoi,” “Chief of Army,” and “Emperor Chiao”. On the other side of the stone, the writings say “In memory of Kaji Battalion, May 8, 1942,” Magallones said.
