Photos of Sophia Loren Deliu, a member of PSG, is going viral.
A member of the Philippine National Police (PNP), Police Inspector Sophia Loren Deliu from Baguio City will join the elite Presidential Security Group (PSG) of presumptive president Rodrigo Duterte.
According to GMA-7 News, Deliu met with the president-elect in Davao City along with other lady officers last week. She was seen talking with the Mayor.
The half-Filipina and half-Romanian made headlines last year when she joined the prestigious Miss Philippines-Earth beauty pageant and finished in 15th place.
Sophia Loren Deliu is a graduate of BS Tourism management in Saint Louis University in Baguio City.
In her previous interview, she said that it has always been her dream to be a beauty queen. However, she choose not pursue it to join the Philippine National Police Acadamy (PNPA) after graduating.
The 24-year-old Police officer joined the modelling industry at the age of 14 and have already participated in various beauty contests.
Meanwhile, Duterte appointed the commander of the Joint Task Force Basilan Col. Rolando Bautista as the PSG Chief.
In an interview with Col. Bautista, he said that it is an honor to serve for the president as the chief of presidential security team.
He also said that there are existing protocols to secure the safety of the next president, adding that they will make innovations depending on Duterte’s decision.
“Of course, there will be additions, improvements and innovations depending on the desire of the president,” he said.
