Mayor Sara emphasized that an additional P1 million will be given to those who can bring the Davao blast suspects handcuffed and alive.
Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte Carpio issued an order offering a total of P2 million for information that would lead to the arrest of the one or ones responsible in the Davao night market blast on Friday evening.
The planting of improvised explosive device (IED) claimed 14 (also reported 15) lives and injured over 70 others.
After her visit to the wake of one of the victims, Mayor Sara said the cash was raised over the weekend.
A total of two million pesos of bounty were offered to those who could help in the arrest of the suspects, where one million pesos will given to the ones who can give information essential to the arrest of the perpetrators while another one million pesos will be for those who can bring the suspects alive.
The mayor said, “We will also give (another) P1 million if you can deliver the suspect to us handcuffed and alive. I would like to emphasize that”.
“We need him alive because we have to talk to him”, Mayor Sara explained.
She also added that they intended to get more information including the names of their accomplices and the objective of the attack.
It was reported that four individuals are now being considered as “persons of interest” by the Special Investigation Task Group (SITG) for possible involvement in the bombing.
The Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) claimed responsibility over the attack.
