Eight-division world boxing champion Manny Pacquiao will step on the ring for the last time against Timothy Bradley. It will be in the headlines tomorrow, April 9 (April 10, Manila time) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
According to recent reports, Manny Pacquiao already stated that he will try his best in winning the bout against his American opponent. But, he doesn’t promise a knockout, a good fight instead.
The Pacman’s last recorded KO victory was on 2009 on his match with Miguel Cotto in round 12. Since then, he hasn’t scored a KO win.
Now, since veteran trainer Teddy Atlas was on Bradley’s team, Pacquiao’s camp is expecting that the Desert Storm would be more aggressive on April 9. This will the last fight of their trilogy.
Manny Pacquiao also said as quoted in Boxing Scene:
“I know that Floyd Mayweather used the same sparring strategy. I know that they’re going to use that strategy. But I learned a lot from that fight. So maybe they should think about another strategy.”
The Filipino boxing also said when told about Bradley’s skill resembling Floyd Mayweather Jr, he just said,
“No. They box different — way, way different … the skill, he’s slower. The speed … we know. I’m just being honest. I can throw a lot of punches on him,” as quoted in an article in Los Angeles Times.
Meanwhile, Bradley also expresses how his opponent, Pacquiao, would be more aggressive during their clash on Saturday (Sunday, Manila time).
