The official candidates for the upcoming Miss Universe Philippines—Quezon City pageant have finally been introduced! Fifteen queens from the city will compete in the hopes of bringing home the crown and representing Quezon City in the next Miss Universe Philippines pageant.
Among the candidates announced is 69-year-old Jocelyn Cubales, who has previously brought honor to South Asia in Mrs. Universe 2017.
In her official photo, MUPH-QC stated that, at her age, Jocelyn believes that “the younger generation can learn a lot from her life experiences, especially determination.”
The grand coronation night for MUPH-QC is scheduled for February 5.
In September of last year, the Miss Universe Organization removed the age limit for their candidates, allowing aspiring beauty queens over 28 years old to participate in the competition.
Jocelyn Cubales’ participation, despite her age, demonstrates the rising opportunities for everyone, proving that beauty and talent know no age limits. She serves as an inspiration to others with dreams, regardless of how far they may be from traditional standards of pageantry.
Overall, her participation inspires not only women but also men, showing that dreams and determination can serve as a guide to success. Focusing on Jocelyn’s experiences, she becomes an example of courage, perseverance, and a representation that the meaning of beauty goes beyond physical appearance. The pageant for the crown is not just for the young and fresh; it is for everyone with hearts full of dreams and hope.
