Residents in parts of Tala in Caloocan City, Malolos, Plaridel in Bulacan, and Silang in Cavite will experience power service interruptions on July 9 and 10 due to scheduled maintenance activities. The Manila Electric Company (Meralco) has announced these outages as part of their efforts to improve service and infrastructure.
In an advisory posted on its website, Meralco detailed that the interruptions in Caloocan City will occur due to the relocation of facilities to serve the SMC Mass Rail Transit 7 along Quirino Highway. This maintenance activity will affect several areas from 11 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9, to 6 a.m. on Wednesday, July 10. The specific areas impacted include:
- A portion of Quirino Highway from St. Dominic Savio College to near Padi’s Pares
- Bankers Village 2, Cefels Park 3 Subdivision, Malaria Area Phase 11 Packages 9 & 10, Malaria MRH Subdivision
- Miramonte Heights Subdivision, Miramonte Park Subdivision, Pangarap Village, Soldiers Hills Subdivision 3, and VMP Townhouse
- Camia, Dahlia, Hochaville, Purok 2, Malaria 1, Malaria Road, and Manggahan Streets in Malaria Compound
- Mt. Banawe, Mt. Bulusan, and Sierra Madre Streets in Mountain Heights Subdivision
- Barracks, Camia, CBY Road – St. Peter, Malaria, St. Joseph, and St. Peter Streets
- Mhello Plastic Products Corp., Veneto Foods Corp., Mercury Drugstore, Puregold – Quirino Highway, Savemore Market – HGL Building, and Metroplaza Mall
In Bulacan, Meralco will conduct line reconductoring works and replace leaning poles along Gov. Padilla Road in Barangay Agnaya, Plaridel, on July 10. The power interruptions will occur in two phases:
- Between 2 a.m. and 2:30 a.m., and then between 4:30 a.m. and 5 a.m.
- Between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m.
Affected areas include:
- Portion of A. Mabini Street and Gov. Padilla Road from Meralco – Malolos Substation in Barangay Santisima Trinidad, Malolos City, to near Doña Crispina Homes
- J. Lucas and P. Mabini Streets in Barangays Barihan and Santisima Trinidad, Malolos City
- Sta. Monica Park Subdivision and Mary Grace Village
- Barangays Agnaya and Sto. Niño in Plaridel
- Portion of Gov. Padilla Road from P. Reyes Street to Tabang Local Road in Barangay Poblacion
- A portion of J. Garcia Street from J. Padilla Street to near North Luzon Expressway, including P. Javier, P. Reyes, Osoro, and Sta. Ines Streets in Barangays Sta. Ines, Banga 1, and Poblacion, Plaridel
Additionally, Meralco will undertake line reconstruction works inside Riviera Residential Estates Subdivision in Barangay Biluso, Silang, Cavite, on July 10. The affected area between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. includes portions of Burgundy, Champagnat, and Normandy Streets, along with The Riviera Golf & Country Club.
Meralco advises residents and businesses in the affected areas to prepare for these scheduled outages and to take necessary precautions to minimize inconvenience.
