Ely Buendia Drops New Single “Bulaklak Sa Buwan”

Legendary OPM icon Ely Buendia has once again proven his brilliance in songwriting with the release of his latest single, “Bulaklak Sa Buwan.” The song, which he wrote and composed himself, offers listeners a refreshing exploration of positivity and finding happiness within. Through thought-provoking lyrics and melodic tunes, Buendia invites his audience to reflect on life’s anxieties and the search for contentment.

The opening lines capture the familiar struggle of doubt and worry: “Nandito na naman ang mga alinlangan at labis na pangangamba (Here comes our doubts and worries),” Buendia sings. As the song progresses, he warns listeners to be wary of those who “naglalako ng pantasya (sell fantasies),” reminding them that true happiness can often be found closer than they think. One standout lyric emphasizes this sentiment: “Ang mga rosas ay nasa bakuran lang (The roses you’re looking for are in your own backyard)… Sinong nagsabi na may bulaklak sa buwan (So who says there are flowers on the moon)?”

“Bulaklak Sa Buwan” serves as the first single from Buendia’s upcoming 10-track solo album, Method Adaptor, set for release on November 8 under Offshore Music. The album, which will be available on various streaming platforms, is a reflection of Buendia’s signature style, blending alternative pop with punk rock influences.

In a recent interview, Buendia expressed his excitement about the album. “I think I’ve written a very, very good album,” he said, describing Method Adaptor as an eclectic mix of sounds that will appeal to long-time fans and new listeners alike. He shared that he chose “Bulaklak Sa Buwan” as the lead single simply because he liked the way it sounded. “It has a nice ring to it. It kind of describes me and the whole album. It’s fun, upbeat, and relatable.”

Buendia is also gearing up for a solo concert titled “Ely Buendia Live,” scheduled for September 14 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Pasay City. Fans attending the show can look forward to the live debut of “Bulaklak Sa Buwan,” among other new tracks from Method Adaptor. “That is where you’d probably hear me debut ‘Bulaklak Sa Buwan’ live. So do check me out there,” he teased.

As the former frontman of the iconic ’90s band Eraserheads, known for hits like “Huling El Bimbo” and “Pare Ko,” Buendia continues to captivate fans old and new with his timeless music.
