Weather Forecast

Visayas and Bicol Region:
Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms are expected in the Bicol Region and Northern Samar due to the influence of the ITCZ. Residents in these areas should be prepared for intermittent rainfall, which could be accompanied by strong winds and lightning.

MIMAROPA:
In Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms are forecasted due to the ITCZ as well. While these areas will experience milder weather compared to the Bicol Region, there remains a possibility of localized downpours and thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening.

Light to moderate north-to-northwest winds will prevail in these areas, with slight to moderate sea conditions expected. PAGASA advises small sea vessels to take precautions, especially in areas experiencing scattered thunderstorms.

Tropical Cyclone Advisory

PAGASA has not detected any low-pressure areas (LPAs) that may potentially develop into tropical cyclones. However, the public is encouraged to stay vigilant and monitor updates from the Department of Science and Technology (DOST)-PAGASA for any changes in weather patterns.

Thunderstorm Advisory

As of Thunderstorm Advisory No. 15, PAGASA has observed moderate to heavy rain showers accompanied by lightning and strong winds in parts of Camarines Sur (Presentacion, Caramoan), Sorsogon (Bulusan, Barcelona, Gubat, Prieto Diaz), and Northern Samar (Laoang, Pambujan, Catubig, Las Navas). These thunderstorms are expected to persist for 1 to 2 hours and may affect nearby areas. Residents should take safety precautions against flash floods and landslides, particularly in low-lying and mountainous areas.
