Actor and content creator Jomari Angeles has captured the attention of netizens with a recent TikTok video expressing his disappointment over a failed collaboration with a female celebrity. The video, which has amassed 1.4 million views as of this writing, delves into Jomari’s frustrations about the handling of his time and schedule by the celebrity’s team.
In the video, Jomari emphasized, “Yun ‘yung pinaka-ayaw ko, eh, ‘yung hindi nirerespeto ‘yung schedule o ‘yung time ko!” This sentiment resonated with his audience, garnering over 1,000 comments, 4,000 reposts, and 86,700 likes.
According to Jomari, the collaboration was initiated by the promo team of the celebrity’s Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry. The team reached out to him, requesting a promotional interview akin to his previous viral content. Jomari expressed his initial reservations, ensuring the celebrity would be comfortable with the nature of his interviews before proceeding.
On December 10, Jomari arrived at Eastwood City ahead of their scheduled 4 PM meeting. He prepared questions related to the movie’s theme as requested by the promo team. However, the celebrity did not show up. Jomari narrated how the promo staff eventually admitted to a miscommunication regarding the schedule, with conflicting dates of December 10 and 11 being discussed in their group chat.
Despite the setback, Jomari agreed to a rescheduled meeting the following Monday. However, he woke up to a message from the promo staff stating that the collaboration would no longer push through due to “management concerns.” Frustrated, Jomari questioned the handling of the situation, saying, “Kung hindi pala talaga okay in the first place bakit pa tayo ang re-schedule?”
Jomari’s video aimed to raise awareness about respecting work schedules, irrespective of one’s status. He added, “Work is work. Kung hindi naman pala sila okay, bakit pa tayo nag set-up ng collaboration?”
Speculations about the celebrity involved have flooded the comments section, with netizens suggesting names like Jane de Leon and Alexa Miro, stars of “Strange Frequencies: Taiwan Killer Hospital.” However, Jomari has neither confirmed nor denied these guesses.
Jomari Angeles, known for his breakout role in “Ma’Rosa” (2016), remains vocal about professionalism in his craft, a value he continues to uphold despite challenges in the industry.
