Uranus and Earth came together and the Titans were born. Uranus has this fear that one of his children might take his throne so, he enclosed them in the depths of the Earth. Cronus, the strongest Titan, defeated him and claimed his throne. He married Rhea and they got two gods and three goddesses: Hades, Poseidon, Hera, Hestia, and Demeter. Cronus has the same fear as his father so he swallows his children except for Zeus. Rhea tricked him and Zeus was raised by the Nymphs. When Zeus grew up, he made Cronus ingest a mixture of wine and mustard which led him to take out Zeus’ older brothers and sisters, all of them fully grown.

She was called Pandora which means “all gifts” as each god presented her a gift. Athena gave her wisdom, Aphrodite beauty, Hermes cunning, and so on. Zeus gave her a jar which she is not to open no matter what the circumstances are and sent her to the brother of Prometheus, Epimetheus. The brother was told to not accept any gift from Zeus. Epimetheus accepted Pandora, however, despite resisting the temptation, still gave in and opened the jar. This jar released all evils upon the world – hatred, war, death, hunger, sickness, and all the disasters.
