A video circulating widely on social media has stirred public outrage, allegedly showing Davao City Representative Paolo “Pulong” Duterte physically assaulting a man identified as Kristone John Patria Sion. The footage, which appears to depict violent behavior, has prompted calls for an impartial investigation and accountability.

In a video, Sion, who is currently under the custody of the Philippine National Police, confirmed he is the man seen being attacked in the video. He narrated that the incident occurred after a disagreement involving the payment of women brought to a private gathering. Sion claimed that a woman complained about receiving only ₱1,000 for her services, which reportedly enraged Duterte and led to the violent confrontation.
Sion alleged that Duterte ordered the bar to be closed during the incident to prevent others from intervening. “He told them to shut the place down. No one could come in or out,” he said. In the video, a man in a polo shirt can be seen headbutting another man wearing a cap, punching him, and brandishing what appears to be a knife. Sion claimed he was stabbed several times and feared for his life, especially after Duterte allegedly ordered the CCTV system turned off.
“I thought it was over for me,” Sion said, recalling the fear he felt during the attack.
The video, which has now gone viral, has sparked concerns over the possible abuse of power and impunity. Sion emphasized that he was not the one who released the footage online, but confirmed submitting it as part of his evidence to the Department of Justice. “The video is real. It’s not fake or AI-generated,” he clarified.

Sion admitted to bringing women to clients, including on February 22, when he said he was contacted to get women for a group that included Duterte. He stated that his decision to file charges—alleging physical injuries and grave threats—was made independently and that the timing, just weeks before the national elections, was purely coincidental.

As public pressure mounts, many urge authorities to conduct a transparent probe into the matter and ensure that no individual, regardless of position, is above the law.
My take on this matter is that no one should be above the law. Dapat noon p yan nireklamo. February p pla. Why only now? Timing tlga sa election. I would call this a cheap shot pero justice shpuld prevail. Pulong Duterte must answer to this. Sobrang power tripping tlga. And the fact that he does not condone white slavery. Umorder pa ng mga babae. Tapoz cheap pla magbayad.
