DZMM Radyo Patrol 630 Returns as DWPM Rebrands

In a significant move that revives a legacy in Philippine broadcasting, DWPM Radyo 630 has officially been rebranded as DZMM Radyo Patrol 630, according to a press release issued Thursday by the Philippine Collective Media Corporation (PCMC). The rebranding takes effect on May 29 at 8:00 p.m., bringing back a name long associated with public service and trusted news delivery under ABS-CBN.

Alongside the rebrand of the AM radio station, TeleRadyo Serbisyo—the station’s television counterpart—has also been renamed DZMM TeleRadyo. Both platforms will now carry the iconic DZMM brand, which had been absent from mainstream broadcasting since the non-renewal of ABS-CBN’s franchise in 2020.

The station’s programming will once again highlight its commitment to news and public service, aligning with its historic motto: “Una sa Balita, Una sa Public Service.” According to the press release, the revived DZMM Radyo Patrol 630 will be spearheaded by a lineup of well-known veteran broadcasters, including Noli De Castro, Charo Santos, Doris Bigornia, and Alvin Elchico. These personalities were instrumental in establishing DZMM’s reputation as a trusted source of information and commentary in its earlier years.

Media Serbisyo Production Corporation (MSPC), which produces content for both the radio and television arms of the station, emphasized that the move is a tribute to DZMM’s enduring legacy. By reinstating its name and format, the company aims to reconnect with longtime listeners while attracting new audiences in need of credible, relevant news coverage and public affairs programming.

The rebranding comes amid growing public demand for reliable media sources and signals a resurgence of familiar, trusted voices in Philippine radio. DZMM Radyo Patrol 630 is expected to restore its signature news programs, commentary segments, and public service initiatives that once defined its brand.

Listeners can tune in to DZMM Radyo Patrol 630 via the AM frequency or watch the simulcast through DZMM TeleRadyo. The return of this iconic media brand marks a new chapter for Philippine broadcasting, while paying homage to a legacy that shaped decades of news reporting in the country.
