Actor and director Xian Lim has officially added “licensed commercial pilot” to his list of achievements, sharing the news on Instagram with an emotional and inspiring message. The 34-year-old artist, long admired for his talent and drive, revealed that he has obtained his Commercial Pilot License (CPL), calling the milestone “life-changing.”
“CPL! Commercial Pilot License!” Xian wrote. “I still can’t believe it. Ang bilis ng mga pangyayari. This journey has truly been life-changing and I’m filled with gratitude. Hindi ako makapaniwala sa bilis ng mga pangyayari.”
Lim underwent intensive training at Top Flight Academy, where he worked tirelessly over the past months to fulfill his dream of becoming a professional pilot. He expressed deep gratitude to the academy and highlighted the guidance of his instructors, especially Capt. Chiclet Pecson, who played a central role in mentoring him through the rigorous process of becoming flight-ready.
“To my Top Flight Academy family, thank you for believing in me and pushing me beyond what I thought was possible,” Xian shared. “Everything happened so fast, pero you were there to guide me every moment, every step of the way!”
He also recognized Capt. Sahl Onglatco and the rest of the flight instructors for keeping the student pilots inspired, even during the most difficult phases of training. “Maraming salamat na you always keep us, students, motivated. There is always something to look forward to. Even when things get rough, you make sure we keep the fire burning.”
Xian didn’t forget his fellow aviation students, describing them as his “wingmans” and “Indian friends from Nepal.” Their presence, he said, made even the toughest moments bearable. “Salamat ng marami for being there through every challenging maneuver, every ‘bad’ flight, and every failed exam… Having the best support group na magsasabing ‘Kaya ‘yan,’ ‘Bawi sa susunod,’ ‘Tara, review after class,’ ‘Tara, balikan Vigan,’ ‘Tara, pag-usapan natin yan,’ makes all the difference in the world.”
He ended his announcement with a message of hope: “This isn’t the end—it’s just the beginning of a new chapter in my aviation journey. Walang imposible kapag may pangarap ka at pinagsisikapan mo ito.”
