Pagasa Afternoon Weather Forecast for August 6, 2025

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) released its 4 p.m. weather forecast today, August 6, 2025, reporting that a Low Pressure Area (LPA) continues to affect the eastern section of the country, while the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) is bringing rains to parts of Mindanao and Palawan.

LPA Spotted

As of 3 p.m., the LPA was located 245 kilometers east northeast of Virac, Catanduanes, or 370 kilometers east of Daet, Camarines Norte (14.1°N, 126.4°E). While it has a low chance of developing into a tropical cyclone within the next 24 hours, its presence is already impacting weather conditions across Luzon and parts of the Visayas.

Affected Areas and Weather Conditions

Due to the LPA, Cagayan Valley, CALABARZON, Aurora, and Marinduque will experience cloudy skies with scattered to widespread rains and thunderstorms, which may trigger flash floods or landslides in vulnerable areas.

Other regions, such as Metro Manila, the Visayas, the Ilocos Region, the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), the Bicol Region, Central Luzon, Occidental and Oriental Mindoro, and Romblon, will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms, also carrying risks of flooding and landslides due to moderate to heavy rains.

In Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, and CARAGA, the Southwest Monsoon will bring similar weather patterns. Meanwhile, Palawan and the rest of Mindanao can expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, especially in the afternoon and evening.

Wind and Coastal Conditions

Across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, light to moderate winds are expected. Coastal waters will remain slight to moderate, ranging from 0.6 to 1.8 meters in wave height, depending on the region.

Temperature and Humidity

For the 24 hours ending at 4:00 p.m. today, PAGASA recorded a minimum temperature of 25.5°C at 5:00 a.m. and a maximum of 31.4°C at 11:00 a.m. Relative humidity ranged from 63% to 88%.
