VP Sara Duterte, Manases Carpio Report 29 Properties, P88.5M Net Worth

Vice President Sara Duterte and her husband, lawyer Manases Carpio, reported a total of 29 real properties in their 2024 Statement of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth (SALN), with the bulk of holdings concentrated in Davao City. This latest filing, covering June 30, 2022, to December 31, 2024, was sourced from GMA Integrated News Research.

The December 2024 SALN indicates the couple’s portfolio includes agricultural lands, residential lots, house-and-lot units, a condominium in Mandaluyong, a house-and-lot in Parañaque, and several parcels in the Island Garden City of Samal (IGACOS). Notably, two lots are held in trust for their children.

Davao City dominates its property holdings, with 19 of the 29 properties located in the city, spanning multiple barangays. These include residential lots, agricultural parcels, memorial lots, and house-and-lot units. Three additional properties are situated in other areas within the Davao Region, such as Panabo City, while five more are in IGACOS.

According to the SALN, most of the Davao-based properties were acquired between 2006 and 2015. Despite shifts in asset values and liabilities across Duterte’s 2022–2024 filings, the overall number of properties remained stable. Adjustments in the portfolio were largely due to reclassifications, new acquisitions, or placing certain lots under trust arrangements for their children.

The couple also reported business interests in food manufacturing, trucking, trading, and legal services, consistent with previous years.

Duterte’s net worth has shown steady growth since assuming the vice presidency in 2022. Upon taking office on June 30, 2022, she declared a net worth of P71.1 million, which increased to P71.66 million by the end of that year. By December 31, 2023, her net worth rose to P77.51 million, with real property assets valued at P54.81 million and personal properties at P25.25 million.

As of December 31, 2024, Duterte’s net worth reached P88.51 million. Real properties accounted for P66.81 million, reflecting the acquisition of two parcels by Carpio worth P12 million, while personal properties rose to P31.65 million. However, the couple also reported new liabilities totaling P8 million in 2024, bringing overall liabilities to P9.95 million, although the earlier personal loan decreased to P1.95 million.

The 2024 SALN underscores the stability of Duterte-Carpio’s property portfolio and continued financial growth, anchored in long-standing Davao holdings and diversified business interests.
