PAGASA Weather Forecast for January 10, 2026

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) released its official weather forecast for Saturday, January 10, 2026, warning residents in several regions of possible flash floods and landslides due to persistent rains brought by multiple weather systems affecting the country.

Pagasa Weather Forecast

Weather Systems Affecting the Country

According to PAGASA, three major weather systems are influencing the national weather pattern: the Shear Line, the Northeast Monsoon, and the Easterlies.

The Shear Line continues to affect the eastern section of Southern Luzon, producing cloudy skies with frequent rainfall. Provinces under this system include Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Aurora, Quezon, and Rizal, where residents can expect scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms. Moderate to at times heavy rains may trigger flash floods and landslides, particularly in low-lying and mountainous areas.

Meanwhile, the Easterlies are affecting the Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Dinagat Islands, and Surigao del Norte, bringing cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms. PAGASA warned of similar flood and landslide risks in these areas due to the continuous moisture carried by the easterly winds.

The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) dominates the Cordillera Administrative Region, the rest of Cagayan Valley, Nueva Ecija, and Bulacan, causing cloudy skies with light rains. While rainfall remains light, PAGASA notes no significant impact is expected in these locations.

In Metro Manila, the Ilocos Region, and the rest of Central Luzon, Amihan will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains, also with no major weather-related threats.

For the rest of the country, the weather will remain generally fair with partly cloudy to cloudy skies and isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to the Easterlies. However, localized flooding remains possible during severe thunderstorms.

Wind and Coastal Conditions

Northern Luzon and the eastern section of Central Luzon will experience moderate to strong northeast winds with moderate to rough coastal waters reaching 2.5 to 4.0 meters. Similar wind conditions will affect the rest of Luzon and eastern Visayas, while the rest of the country will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas.

Flood Advisories

As of 6:00 AM, January 10, PAGASA issued the following General Flood Advisories:

  • Region IV-A (CALABARZON): GFA #11
  • Region IV-B (MIMAROPA): GFA #17 – Final
  • Region V (Bicol Region): GFA #17
  • Region VIII (Eastern Visayas): GFA #3

Residents are advised to remain alert, monitor official bulletins, and take necessary precautions, especially in flood-prone and landslide-susceptible areas.
